All centers offer the perfect space to reconnect with body, mind, spirit, and nature. They are only steps away from the seaside so that you can relax by the beach between classes. We have recently expanded our curriculum to Goa, South India as well.
Let us introduce ourselves
We are Martin Sittek and Joanna Vladescu and we are the founders of Alpha Yoga School.
Our vision is to combine and share our knowledge, teaching experience and expertise with other yogis.
We offer educational yoga teacher training to yoga students and continuing education programs for yoga instructors. We host yoga retreats for all levels of practitioners. We blend the ancient wisdom of yoga philosophy, yoga poses, and meditation with safe anatomical alignment and intelligent sequencing.
We want to empower you to integrate all of the above with intuitive insight and personal experience.
We are yoga teachers and students ourselves.

Our yoga teacher training
Our yoga teacher training courses are a proven process that will enable you to share the ancient teachings of yoga in a practical way for modern life. We will give you all the necessary tools for that.
Many teacher training programs have up to 45 students. At Alpha Yoga School, we limit our groups to 20 students so that we can give individual attention and personal feedback to each one of you. We get to know your teaching style, help you build your career and develop lasting connections.
The group sizes are large enough that you can experience real teaching scenarios and learn from different body types while remaining small enough that you can build close relationships with your peers and feel supported by your teachers. When appropriate, we use two teachers in our asana and workshop classes to support the group; one leading the class, one assisting.
Our students are our priority and we are there to support you on your journey.
What is yoga?
Yoga is an all-encompassing practice that covers every aspect of existence. From breathing and moving to living and learning, yoga provides us with the tools to arouse a sense of open-hearted compassion. Yoga comes from the verb “yoke”. Definition: Union or to bring together.
Whether it is studying the Vedas or the Sutras, designing creative vinyasa sequences or discussing the position of the feet in Warrior 2, all these disciplines fall under the umbrella of Yoga.
Much like the streams leading to the ocean, these separate disciplines eventually become indistinguishable once they join at the source. That is union.

What is the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga System?
"Ashtanga" means eight limbs. These limbs are laid out by Sage Patanjali in his Yoga Sutras. They provide systematic steps that internally and externally purify the mind and body so that one may better connect to the divinity within. Practicing Ashtanga Yoga means practicing these eight limbs.
Asana, or yogic posture, is the third limb and one that has become most familiar in the present age. Asana lays the foundation for the rest of the limbs to unfold and the Ashtanga Vinyasa method uses this as its starting point.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga prescribes a set sequence of postures linked by the breath. Through the practice of breathing, postures (asanas), and gazing point (dristi), one slowly gains control of the senses and mind.
