Covid-19 Guarantee 2020-2021:
We appreciate that now, more than ever, making plans and parting with your hard-earned money is not easy. It is for this reason that we offer the most flexible policy we can. All we ask is for 25-days’ notice. This way we can guarantee the deposit will never be lost. Either it will be refunded in full or transferred to another course, retreat, or to a replacement student (found by the initial student). By placing the majority of the risk of your investment on us our guarantee is designed to demonstrate trust and show our goodwill, and no risk of losing your deposit on you. The reason we are willing to take the risk is that we have faith in our students. In spite of the current situation, our lives and plans must still go on. We ensure that your deposit is safe and be here for you when you are ready.
Why the 25 days? As I am sure you can appreciate; booking venues, flights, and teachers are just some of the upfront costs we are responsible for. 25 days gives you as much flexibility as possible, whilst giving us just over 3 weeks to try to fill your spot. We hope that these policies will not be required, however, in the interest of your security (and a little bit of ours) we outline them below.
Guarantee Step 1:
In solidarity with the current Covid-19 crisis, all refunds requested 25 days or more before the program start date will be refunded in full given the student meets the following criteria:
-
the student needs to cancel due to COVID-19 government and/or travel restrictions on the side of the student's country of departure.
-
the student needs to cancel due to COVID-19 government and/or travel restrictions on the side of the country where the course is carried out.
-
the student needs to cancel due to any COVID-19 health-related issues.
Students meeting these criteria are also welcome to transfer the payment to a later date which suits them.
Guarantee Step 2:
For those who do not meet the above criteria but are unable to attend the course, the full deposit is transferable to another on-location/online course, retreat, or to a replacement student (sourced by the initial student). No questions asked.
Guarantee Step 3:
If multiple Covid-19 related refunds are requested within the last 25 days of the course start date, and it causes the minimum number of students to fall below 6, this will prevent Alpha Yoga School from conducting the program and:
-
all received deposits will be transferable to another on-location/online course, retreat, or to a replacement student (sourced by the initial student).
-
A deposit of 400 Euros is required to reserve your spot.
-
The above prices already include an early bird discount of 100 Euros/person. To benefit book before the 29th of April 2021.
-
All packages are residential and include the accommodation of your choice, breakfast, snack, dinner, drinking water, tuition fees, and student's manual. Triple rooms can be mixed.
-
Book your spot at least 3 months in advance and get lifetime access to our 200-hour online yoga teacher training worth of 1200 euros.
-
Check-in is on the 29th of June after 3:00 pm and check-out is at 10:00 am on the 17th of July. For more information on how to to get to Paros, please see below.
YOGA TEACHER TRAINING OVERVIEW
Our 200-hour Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training is a foundational course designed for all yoga practitioners. It doesn't matter if you're flexible, fit, strong, tall, or short. You just need to love yoga and have a desire to learn more. If yoga brings you joy or if you want to share yoga with others, then this course is for you. You will learn to practice yoga on your own, deepen your existing practice, learn about the philosophy behind yoga, learn how to teach yoga, and last but not least, you will have lots of fun.
You will obtain a solid self-practice based on Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga. This ability will allow you to take your practice away from the studio and will give you the freedom to practice yoga on your own, anytime and anywhere. You won't have to rely on another yoga teacher or having a yoga studio close by because you will be the teacher and we are here to teach you how to do that.
Yoga is more than just postures or asanas. Yoga helps you live a better life off the mat. You start to become aware of your breath, mind, body, emotions, and ultimately of the choices you make in your everyday life. Then you become aware of how these choices affect you, those around you, and the planet. That's when you become more connected to your inner Higher Self.
The beauty of yoga is not in the perfect downward-facing dog or the deepest backbend. The secret of yoga lies in the lessons learned through continuous practice. Discomforts and challenges on the mat make us stronger and more open-hearted for life’s challenges off the mat. That's where the real yoga is - off the mat and into real life.
By the end of the course, you will obtain the skills and all necessary tools to teach Vinyasa Flow Yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. You will have many opportunities during the course to teach yoga to your fellow students, giving and receiving constructive feedback from them and from your teachers.
You will learn philosophy and find answers to questions like: How can I practice yoga off the mat, what is my purpose and who am I? You will learn how to integrate yogic philosophy into your asana practice and everyday life. These are some of the things that are not taught in yoga studios. A teacher can integrate a bit of philosophy in a yoga class, but in yoga training you will dive much deeper into the philosophy. Philosophy helps you understand where the practice comes from and will help you build a solid foundation from there.
You will meditate, learn about the human body and use this knowledge to know more about your self and also create perfect yoga classes. You will be intoroducted to Ayurveda, which is the science of self-healing, and much much more.
This training is recognized by Yoga Alliance USA and UK and focuses on four educational categories: Asana practice, Yoga Philosophy & Ayurveda, Teaching Skills, and Functional Anatomy. Upon successful completion, graduates can teach yoga anywhere.
We welcome you with open arms if you are "physically stif", suffer from an injury or other health challenges, and we encourage your attendance! Pregnant women are welcome from the second trimester and on. If you love learning, have a body, and you can breathe – this training is for you.
This teacher training is limited to 20 students to ensure that you get the personal attention you deserve. You can find our detailed syllabus on Yoga Alliance's website.
You will study with a team of three dedicated teachers.
Come as a practitioner, leave as a yoga teacher.

"Best yoga teacher training!"
Martin and Joanna are excellent teachers and have put together the perfect curriculum for you to deepen your practice and becoming a yoga teacher! I loved the big emphasis on “Adjustments and Alignment”, which I am sure you won’t get most places, at least not in this amount or quality! Definitely the best classes of the course. The two-hour morning yoga classes were excellent. I loved that it changed between Ashtanga and Vinyasa and how much attention the two teachers paid to evolve your practice. I didn’t practice Ashtanga before I got there and wasn’t sure it was really for me. Martin turned that around! I don’t think I will be a “pure ashtangi”, but he really opened my eyes to the practice. I also loved the many workshops we did, to dig into some of the more challenging asanas or working on correct alignment in some of the poses we think we know and regard as easy, but potentially can injure us, because we are doing it wrong (e.g. Chaturanga). We started teaching each other during the first few days, which in my opinion is very important so that you can slowly begin to develop your skills as a teacher. The classes where we taught each other were excellent and we got a lot of usable information on how to teach and build a class. In general, I found that the theoretical classes really opened up to everything behind the physical yoga practice. The place was beautiful, the staff nice and the water amazing. I would with no doubt recommend this teacher training!

"Practice and all is coming!"
An amazing life-changing experience! I could not wish for a better TTC. I am so grateful for the opportunity to study with the best teachers. They are very well educated, passionate and so inspiring. They supported us and motivated us during the whole training because they wanted us to leave as confident teachers with great skills. The knowledge they provided about philosophy and anatomy was enough to understand the concepts of yoga and to encourage us to continue studying. The training was very intense, of course, but the schedule was well planned. When we felt really tired, we always had an easier day ahead of us. It was never boring because every subject had a different teacher. We learned about adjustment, alignment, vinyasa sequencing, pranayama techniques...we covered a lot! For most of us, this was the first real experience with ashtanga yoga and it really provided a great foundation for further studies. In one week we were able to practice in a Mysore class, without any previous experience. The location was amazing, with crystal clear sea, great food and nice, clean accommodation. Thank you for everything!
